Who owns and operates these Forums?
The UnionDues Forums are owned and administered by Alan Rust, a recent retiree of Air Canada who also operates;

as well as many other sites that are not airline related.

These sites are not operated, funded or controlled by any Union or Air Canada.

These Forums were started for the following reasons;
  1. The ACFamily Network which I also operate was turning into a Union site with Union issues taking the forefront. This caused a large workload for our moderators because these discussions often turned into heated arguments and took away from the "family" type purpose of the web site. All Union related discussions are now closed and asked to continue here.
  2. Adding to the above, we were losing many members and retirees on the ACFN because of the Union discussions and mudslinging, etc. I thought a new site would be the best solution. (Build it and they will come)
  3. The site at: http://forum.onecenter.com/union_issues/ is closing down as the moderator there has been laid off and no longer works for Air Canada. They were looking for a new home.
  4. I saw a need for a Union site where all Unions could meet and also be aware of what the other Unions are doing and discussing.
