Maybe a bit of Integrity?
It is a proven fact that employees that are treated well by their employers work better and therefore produce better results; thus the company prospers. The experience of Air Canada employees is wretched to say the least. By steadily chipping away at benefits, creating absurd criteria for sick days etc.etc, Air Canada makes it clear to its employees that it does not care about them. PR moves such as the Celine Dion debacle serve only to insult workers who have witnessed their wages slip to inhumane levels. Furthermore, Air Canada appears determined to show its employees that it does not trust them (hidden cameras, doctor's notes etc.) By these means it has successfully created an "us against them" situation which is fatal for a business. How can the company operate with such internal fragmentation? Wildcat strikes may cause problems for the company but that would only be a concern to workers if they had something to work towards. The increasingly tyrannical behaviour of Air Canada is pushing workers into a corner; it is much easier to risk a wildcat strike when you have nothing to lose. Toronto has demonstrated what power the workers actually have. CEOs are not the ones who get planes off the ground! Workers could euthanize this terminally ill airline if they so wished - and Air Canada is giving them every reason to do so. Only when Air Canada begins to treat its employees well will it prosper as a business; to do this it needs to direct funds at its employees. Only by investing in its employees will Air Canada see that money coming back.
