You will see the repeated reference of a company travel benefit (not privilege) which is reiterated on the AC website, under Benefits, which we enjoy as employees as members represented by a trade union governed by a collective agreement contract.

The Company was so upset and scared they would lose control, they immediately applied to the Federal Ontario Superior Appellate Court for Judicial Review and it was dismissed because there was NO error in law.

So what did the Company then do, they arbitrarily changed the rules which are in contempt of court.

Those policy changes are carried for those who have Access, in the AC Corporate Company Regulations Manual Company Publication 715 and ETS website via the AC Aeronet.

The unions have had subsequent times to challenge the situation but each time an interim deal is settled before it reaches the Judge-Arbitrator.

This growing attempt by the Company as a form of discipline for non-travel but workplace related issues with a carrot and stick approach, often acting in demagogue fashion with unequal, unfair and unjust treatment, should be unequivocally and strongly challenged by our union advocates.

Hope this helps.
